Prayer Concerns
1. That I will be more patient with both Tyler and Nick, and understanding of their needs and feelings.
2. That the paths that we choose to help Nick catch up academically will be successful.
3. That I will be patient with Nick while he is learning SO MUCH, and that he will not get discouraged.
4. Thanks that all our other children are healthy and doing well.
5. That David will soon be pain-free.

ADOPTION TIMELINE
June 24-August 4, 2009: Hosted Kolya
Mid-August: Notarized and apostilled letter sent asking whether Kolya was available for adoption
September 4: Facilitator asked Kolya whether he wanted us to adopt him, and he said "Yes" - :o)
September 17: USCIS appointment
October 13: USCIS fingerprints
October 30: Received USCIS approval
November 10: Dossier completed and Fedex'd to agency November 18: Dossier submitted to Kolya's country
December 4: Received our invitation for SDA appointment
January 19: Left home
January 20: Arrived in-country
January 21: (Thursday) SDA appointment in the capital
January 23: (Saturday) Took train to the region
January 25: (Monday) Met with inspector; then met with orphanage director, and Kolya, finally!
February 6: (Saturday) Tyler and David left to go home
February 10: Received Interpol clearance
February 12: (Friday) Court date
February 23: Got new birth certificate
February 24: Got Kolya and passport
February 26: (Friday) Doctor visit and embassy appointment
February 28: (Sunday) Left the country to return home
March 1: Woke up in my own bed with a new son upstairs :o)
April 14: Received green card
April 29: Received signed court order of Recognition of Foreign Adoption (David has now completed adopting Kolya locally, which makes him a U.S. citizen, now!)
May 13: Filed application for Certificate of Citizenship with USCIS
October 7: Nick (Kolya) had his interview with USCIS on the Cert of C, and received the Certificate while there! :o)
